L'objectif du ttff/14 est de mettre en lumière le cinéma et les réalisateurs des Caraïbes. Si le noyau dur de la sélection est composé de films caribéens, le festival explore également les passerelles entre cinéma expérimental et installations artistiques via sa section New Media et a pour ambition de lancer un marché du film caribéen (The Caribbean Film Mart) et une base de données de l'industrie du cinéma de la zone Caraïbes (The Regional Film Database), lors de l'édition 2015 (l'année prochaine).

Founded in 2006 and presented by Flow, the trinidad+tobago film festival (ttff), the largest event of its kind in the English-speaking Caribbean, continues to evolve and expand in celebrating expression and empowerment through film. The Festival screens the best films from from Trinidad+Tobago and the Caribbean, the Caribbean Diaspora, and Latin American countries in the Caribbean Basin. The ttff also seeks to facilitate the growth of the Caribbean film industry by hosting workshops, panel discussions, seminars, conferences and networking opportunities.
