Under the Patronage of The Consulate general of Belgium in Ho Chi Minh City : Mud Brick Architecture in Mali by Catherine de Clippel at Saigon Domaine, 1057 Binh Quoi, W28, district Binh Thanh, HCMC.
The first use of mud brick or adobe architecture in Mali dated from about 8000 years ago. There were simple wooden huts rendered with clay.
In Mali, the contacts between northern Africa and the Middle East gave birth to an original architectural style called Soudanaise, which was a synthesis of the styles of these different civilizations.
