Every year in Mauritius, 20,000 children take the CPE (Certificate of Primary Education) exam. Success in this exam determines their entry into secondary school and, subsequently, their entire future. Only the best 2,000 are admitted. Rico, 12 years old, from a modest family, has conscientiously prepared for the exams, with the help of his friend Mala. But he is worried. The day before, he dreamed that the bus that was supposed to take them to the exam broke down and that he missed the time of the convocation. Convinced that the dream is premonitory, Rico must do everything he can to beat his fate. If he arrives in time, the CPE will only be a formality!
