For generations, the men of the Armand family have been fishing in the traditional way of La Réunion. This year, Armand is initiating his 10-year-old son. He knows that his children will never make fishing their profession, but is determined to pass on this ancient skill, which is part of their family's identity.
Hamza is looking forward to the day when, like his father before him, he catches his first trevally, a mythical fish. But first, he must learn the lesson of patience.
A film that is both beautiful and sensitive, with universal appeal.
