The program will maintain about 14 hours of dancing and presentation, including a Meet&Greet with Germaine Acogny!
LANLA-members are the dance-children of Germaine Acogny and the carriers of her dance-heritage in the form of the Technique Germaine Acogny.
It is important for this rich art and knowledge to be experienced and danced by the whole world, and this must be done in the correct way and purest form.
This is the task of LANLA. LANLA is an organization existing of dance artists, all selected, educated and qualified to work with this technique by Germaine Acogny herself.
LANLA-members were part of a three-year studying program at l'Ecole des Sables where Germaine Acogny transmitted for the first and the last time her technique to them. There are only 17 danceartists worldwide who are qualified to work with this technique.
In the presentation we will talk about Lanla, the Ecole Des Sables, the Acogny technique, the Transmission group.
Lanla Acogny Dance Technique believes and promotes respect for this technique and for the Ecole des Sables.

GERMAINE ACOGNY TECHNIQUE
The technique Acogny is the only codified and recognised contemporary dance technique created in Africa.
It´s created by Germaine Acogny, the mother of African contemporary dance.
It is based on traditional African dance (specially Senegal and Benin) and Western dancetechniques (classical ballet, release- and Graham technique). The philosophy of this technique is about identity. Placing yourself inside the community and nature. Being aware of your own body: to feel it, to touch it, to enjoy it. To live your body through the virtuosity of feeling.
The concept of the method and the movements are innovative and original. They come from nature. It is an unique way of approaching dance.
It respects every different body.
The technique talks about life, about the connection between human being and nature.
Joy, play, love and music are the fundaments of the spirit of the technique.
"The freedom of the body through discipline with the own identity".
