Neila DRISS (نائلة ادريس) is a Film Critic and a Journalist.

She write mainly at webdo.tn (Tunis). She joined Africiné Magazine (Dakar) in 2022, as writer.

Neila Driss (28 June 1964) is a Tunisian lawyer, journalist, blogger and critic.

In 2006, she won the Most Promising Blog Prize at the Tunisia Blog Awards and in the following year, she won the first place jury prize.

In more recent years, she has been writing about cinema, in particular Arab cinema, and she has published on the subject in Tunisian and Egyptian newspapers (Tunis Hebdo, Al Akhbar and Al Ahram) and in online magazines and websites, including Webdo.tn, Tourismag.com, Uima20.com and Film International.
She has covered various film festivals, particularly Cannes Film Festival (since 2013), Carthage Film Festival (since 2010), Cairo International Film Festival (since 2016), El Gouna Film Festival, Luxor African Film Festival…

In October 2017, she was a jury member of the Cinéalma Festival (France).

In 2019, she co-hosts the radio program Cinemascope on the Tunisian radio RTCI (which is a national radio whose programs are in French and / or English).
In 2020, she was one of the 70 film critics to have selected the 100 best films by Arab women of all time, the list of which was revealed during the 5th edition of the Aswan International Women Film Festival (Egypt).
In April 2021, she created a facebook group for female film lovers "Pink popcorn", to encourage them to discuss films and and to go to the cinema. In addition, from time to time, discussions via Zoom were organized between cinema professionals and the members of the group.

In September 2021, she was member of the independent commission for the selection of Tunisian fiction films which will be in official competition at the 32 edition of the Carthage Film Festival (Tunisia).

In February 2022, she was the President of the Critic Jury - feature film competition of the 26th edition of the International Festival of Author Cinema in Rabat (Marocco).
In November 2022, she became an active member of the Tunisian Association for the Promotion of Film Critics (ATPCC), which is a member association of FIPRESCI.

سنة 2006 حازت على جائزة اكثر مدوَّنة واعدة في "Tunisia Blog Awards " وفي السنة الموالية تحصلت على الجائزة الاولى للجنة التحكيم
في السنوات الاخيرة كتبت عن السينما وبالتحديد السينما العربية ونشرت حول هذا الموضوع في الجرائد التونسية والمصرية (تونس هبدو Tunis Hebdo، الاخبار، الاهرام) وفي مجلات و في مواقع الكترونية على الانترنت من بينها وابدو.تن Webdo.tn وتوريزماق.كوم Tourismag.com و اويما 20.كوم Uima20.com وموقع فيلم انترناسيونال Film Internationa.
كما كانت لها مشاركات كثيرة في برامج اذاعية حول السينما وفي 2019 شاركت في تنشيط برنامج "سينما سكوب" في اذاعة تونس الدولية RTCI - وهي اذاعة وطنية تونسية تبث برامجها باللغة الفرنسية و/او الانقليزية
قامت بتغطية عديد المهرجانات السينمائية خصوصا مهرجان كان (منذ 2013) و ايام قرطاج السينمائية (منذ 2010) ومهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي (منذ 2016) ومهرجان الجونة السينمائي و سيني الما Cinéalma ومهرجان الاقصر للسينما الافريقية ومهرجان مالمو للسينما العربية
في اكتوبر 2017 كانت عضو في لجنة تحكيم الدورة 12 لمهرجان سيني الما (كاروس- فرنسا).
في 2020 كانت من بين الـ70 ناقد سينمائي الذين شاركوا في ضبط قائمة افضل 100 فيلم للمرأة في السينما العربية على مر العصور
في افريل 2021 انشات مجموعة فايسبوكية عن النساء هواة السينما "Pink popcorn" وذلك لتشجيعهن على تبادل المعلومات حول الافلام وخاصة لمشاهدة الافلام والذهاب الى السينما. من حين لآخر يقع تنظيم حوارات عبر "زوم" بين مهني السينما واعضاء المجموعة
في سبتمبر 2021 كانت من بين الاربعة اعضاء في اللجنة المستقلة لاختيار الافلام التونسية الروائية للمسابقة الرسمية في الدورة 32 لأيام قرطاج السينمائية
في فيفري 2022 كانت رئيسة لجنة النقد في مسابقة الافلام الطويلة بالدورة 26 لمهرجان الرباط الدولي لسينما المؤلف
في نوفمبر 2022 اصبحت عضو ناشط في الجمعية التونسية للنهوض بالنقد السينمائي وهي جمعية عضو في الاتحاد الدولي للنقاد السينمائيين
