In a series of visually arresting compelling mini-narratives, this richly imaginative short film elaborates the power of Yoni - the symbol of the feminine principle. This stunning visual essay begins by defining Yoni as "the feminine principle that creates the cosmos by exercising its power to produce change". That change, the film suggests, lies in liberating women from stereotypical and gendered roles they have been ascribed to them over the ages. Such freedom is beautifully evoked in sequences ranging from tender, cross-cultural and inter-racial lesbian love to a rejection of prim, pram-pushing motherhood by a mother-figure wielding an angle-grinder.
