Hakim and Latifa fled the Algerian civil war in the early 1990s. Since then, they have been living in the Jura with their two daughters: Nedjma, 14, and Leïla, the eldest, who has left to study hairdressing in Paris. Three days before Christmas, Nedjma receives a terse text message from her older sister. She will not be able to come and join them for the holidays, once again claiming she has too much work to do... Latifa lashes out at Hakim and pushes him to go and get Leïla. Nedjma will come with him and they will take the opportunity to discover Paris. When they arrive at the hairdressing salon, they learn that Leila has never actually worked there. This is a father's journey that begins, in Paris, one night, until dawn.
