Chauffeur de taxi à Nice, Samson Cazalet charge une cliente ravissante à l'aéroport pour la ramener chez elle. Un soupçon de musique, un regard échangé et, pendant ce court instant, le charme réciproque opère. Le soir même, la fillette de cette femme disparaît et des preuves accablent Samson.
