French Canadian Documentary Filmmaker and Bilingual Story Designer.
Katia Café-Fébrissy aka "KaFé" is a Toronto-based award-winning Writer & Director.
She originates from Paris, France and is of French Caribbean heritage. She has lived and worked in 5 different countries, and besides English & French, she speaks Spanish and Creole fluently.
Katia is an alumna of the Women in the Director's Chair program. Besides, she holds a postgraduate diploma in Documentary Filmmaking from Varan Doc Institute, France, and an MA in Literature and Languages from the Université de Paris VIII, France.
She is a member of the Francophone Writers Guild of Canada (SARTEC), the Directors Guild of Canada (DGC) and Women in Film and Television - Toronto Chapter (WIFT-T).
In addition, Katia sits on the Board of Directors of the Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto (LIFT).
